How the Tea Party Won the Deal
How the Tea Party Won the Deal
By Peter Beinart - The Daily Beast – Yahoo

There is no getting around it ... Pres. Obama has been a terrible strategist and tactician when it comes to doing battle with the Repuglicans and Teabaggers.

Beinart explains how the Tea Party won ... and I heard U.S. Senator Coons on the Bill Press show this morning lamenting the Democrat's haplessness in combating their opposition.

Obama 'apologists' can spin all they want about how this is a 'win' or how it was the best deal the Democrats could get -- but in the long run (ie., 2012) this spinning will again so demoralize the progressive base that a repeat of 2010 is likely.

2. To be honest...
I'm not sure exactly what President Obama is supposed to do. He's been trying to make lemonade out of shit. Could someone tell me what his other options are? I'm honestly curious. It seems a lot of people want someone more along the lines of LBJ (can't happen because LBJ had years and years of clout w/the House) or Truman, but it looks like we have George Bailey and he's getting pulverized from both sides rather than help.

3. He can't get it done because
he honestly doesn't believe in old time dem party planks. To put such an inexperienced (and unknown) person in such a position of power, was insane in the first place.
