Bush and the Myth of Great Leadership
These ads are some of the most cynical, tasteless, deceptive and exploitative the nation has ever seen.

Does this view sum up the soul of the Bush platform/campaign?

2. try this:
http://sptimes.com/

article by Maxwell is about 2/3 down the page, under Columns section.

Well written...not a whole lot new, but he makes the point.

I would have headlined it "The Great Manipulator",
but that's probably why I'm not a headline writer......

3. The opinion pretty well captures the Bush and Giuliani efforts.

Bush didn't move any rubble, nor did Giuliani.

The World Trade Center response was made by average Americans. Men and women earning less than $50,000 a year, running on adrenaline and a for a higher purpose, worked to recover the bodies and clean the mess. This is their triumph.

(As I understand it, New York still hasn't been given the funds that Congress voted for. Any truth to this?)

Anyway, I am a Clinton supporter, and I would be embarrassed if he used something like this in a campaign. For sure the Republicans would howl loud and long.

How about representing his success at getting bin laden, who remains loose two and half years after 9-11?
