Imagine the public outcry if the federal government tried to take over a religion. Well, heads up folks – a religion is stealthily taking over the federal government.

We've always had religious people in government, and there's nothing at all wrong with that – it can even be a plus, providing a moral grounding for the pursuit of justice. But when our governmental leaders believe themselves God-ordained both to be in power and to use all means to implement the viewpoint and agenda of their particular religion – especially the extremist edge of that religion – then we're moving dangerously from democracy to theocracy.
