Here's something I put together...
...inspired by an earlier thread about the "war" being "over".

1. Powerful statement
You did a good job putting that together. I've been one of those people who've been saying that now that we're in Iraq we have to stay until the job is done. But I've been thinking of changing my mind on that issue. The more I see and hear about what's going on in Iraq- more soldiers getting killed, low moral due to bad living conditions, the Iraqis wanting our troops out- the more I swing over to the 'let's just bring 'em home' side of the argument. I think your collage may have just put me over the top.

2. Maybe asking yourself this question would help decide where you stand.....
....Let's say some other country invaded the US (under a Democrat President) on the pretense that WMD were present. Now let's suppose this invading country FOUND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING would you want them to stay, one minute longer for any reason?? Or would you be inclined to tell this invading country, thanks but no thanks, now go home??

5. You know what it is?
I think there are valid reasons for wanting a continued US presence in Iraq. Like making sure a democracy is in place and not some theocracy or another dictatorship. One of those two forms of government will arise in the power vacuum if we leave. The big question is can we live with that? Hussein wasn't a threat to us in the first place, a new dictator won't be either. It's the people we have to consider, we've already put them through so much and I feel like we owe them something. I guess we can help them and still pull the troops out.

But here's the thing. I didn't realize I was doing this until I thought about it a little bit. I was against the war from the beginning. I've been called everything from stupid to a traitor because of my views. And to think, how many people would still be alive if I'd have had my way? Iraqis and coallition forces? And what's that? They all died in vain? Boy, I sure was the stupid one wasn't I? Well guess what Mr. and Mrs. Freeper? Mr. and Mrs Moran? You wanted it, now you got it motherfuckers! Yeah that's what it is! I hate your fuckin' guts for what you did to me and what you did to my country! I hope your happy now that you got your war! Oh, what's that? But people are dying? Yeah, dumbass, that's what happens in wars!

OK. That was a really immature, shitty attitude. I'm over it now. Bring the troops home. Peace.

3. Bush told us all lies, then squandered these lives.
Who knows what good those young men and women could have done, had they not been needlessly thrown away.

Plus Bush is wasting a billion US dollars a week. Those billions could have built a solar-powered-hydrogen-generator project out in the Arizona desert.

Al Gore would have done that before compiling a PNAC list of countries to conquer, and then launching invasions.

For that squandered billion per week, we could have built several solar generators big enough to have powered every car and household in America.

6. These Americans died...
...for PNAC
...for oil
...for a radical right wing agenda
...and for the benefit of an appointed pResident and his corporate sponsors.

NOT to protect Ameriica from an imminent threat...
and NOT for some altruistic liberation of Iraqis.

This is the truth, and it MUST come out!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it does, the neo-fascists who wrap themselves in the American flag will be branded for the traitors and criminals that they ARE.

Until that I day I shall not rest or have peace of mind.
