Professor Preacher Michael Eric Dyson on the State of the Country: "Some of Us are In First Class, But The Plane Is In Trouble"

Listen to Segment || Download Show mp3

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We play an address by professor and preacher Michael Eric Dyson speaking at the first annual Unvarnished Truth Awards in Washington D.C. Dyson says, "If you're in the plane, being in first class ain't going to stop you from going down with the rest of us. When there is turbulence, there is turbulence everywhere. Everybody be shaking. If that plane goes down, you might die first in first class. Yes, some of us are in first class, but the plane is in trouble."

2. That's a great analogy!
I always wondered why the greedy, short-sighted Republicans couldn't see far enough ahead to recognize that screwing the middle class would eventually come back to bite them in the ass.

CEO's - Who will buy your products? Don't you see that drying up disposable income is, sooner or later, going to end up affecting your bottom line? Not to mention how fucking evil it is to shit on the people who really make this country run. Bastards.

3. Love that thought
Whenever I make a comment on capitalism, I always point out that the people need disposable income in order to buy an entrepreneur's products or services.

Disposable income is a forgotten dream in most of the nation, especially in the South and the red states.

4. Nice analogy
While at it, I need a more qualified flight crew as well. The ones in charge aren't even qualified to fly a Cessna, much less a 747.

And airline CEOs who will NOT screw my flight crew over.
