These are pictures of what Bush does not want you to see. These are taken from a German newsmagazine show.

This is what Bush is hiding from the American people.

2. I have not been able to find a clear story on what these sketches are
supposed to represent.

I have not found any source that indicates that these Jack Chick-like drawings depict an actual event or image that is in the collection of suppressed photos from Abu Ghraib.

There is no doubt that worse than this happened at Abu Ghraib, but until a valid story can be provided as to what these particular images are, I would prefer the images be provided with adequate disclaimer/disclosure, both here and at Kos.

Phony stuff is the other guys' business.

3. here's the video link
http://www.swr.de/report/archiv/sendungen/040705/02/04070502.ram

it's in German, but it has an interview with an American Sergeant Provence who was at Abu Ghraib, describing how a child was mistreated in front of his father as a way of getting the father to talk. Apparently it worked.

The fact that I've never heard of Sgt. Provence, while German TV interviewed him in 2004, makes me think of a recent story I read about the anniversary of the Srebrenica(sp?) massacre. Footage was recently played for the first time on Serbian TV, and the story said Serbs were mostly not aware of the event before now.

5. I can't figure this out.
I fear for the lives of the young in Iraq going throught this abuse, especially girls and young women...

If they get sexually abused or morally violated, just to make their adult parents talk, doesn't that put them in harm's way for torture when they go home?>

6. Both the abusees and abusers are the victims of US sanctioned torture.
Both groups of people will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. It's a stain upon their souls and our country.

7. Ridiculous! An artists rendering?
This is worthless without an actual photo. Sorry. Anyone thinking to themselves "Oh those bad soldiers hurt this little girl!" needs to check in to the local mental health center.

8. The ACLU is working to get the actual photos released
Donald Rumsfeld himself said that the actual photos are horrible. Congress was shown these photos and tapes well before the 2004 election. The photos and tapes exist - the White House is suppressing them.

Pay attention, please.
