1. damn. coulda sworn the number was only 1069 just yesterday

this really sucks.

Rangel should introduce new legislation that says anyone who votes for Bush automatically places their draft age children in the draft lottery.

4. How awful.
May he or she rest in peace.

It does seem like the numbers of dead soldiers are rising at an alarming rate. I had hoped that Kerry and Edwards wouldn't be able to say that 'the numbers of dead in October are higher than they were in September, etc.' But now it seems that they might be able to. :(

8. Sounds right, yet wrong as can be.
From Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, it's 1079, and they don't have the one from western Baghdad.

Someone who has been fighting way too much there recently told me "We are making more enemies here than anything."

11. Kicking It Saigon68 My Son Emailed Me He Joined The Marines
My beautiful first born son left of lefties told me by email that he has joined the Marines. I am going to be speaking with him 3AM EST as I am in Italy and he is in Saint Paul. This revelation has just rocked me to my soul.

He is going to boot camp 11/1 in San Diego. I am beyond tormented I am distraught. He supports Kerry and thinks the war should be fought with a CIC that can resolve this. He believes good honest liberals can make a difference. I have been crying for hours. I have been torn about reporting this info as I am just in such shock.

I will write an update after I speak with him. Please pray for my son Benjamin and for our family.
