Federal surplus soars to $8 billion plus!
In Canada that is, under a Liberal government--meanwhile back in *Bush's conservative America, the government is nearly bankcrupt.

...and I still can't decide who to vote for...duh.

OTTAWA - The federal Liberals are on the verge of announcing a huge budget surplus of more than $8 billion, federal government sources told CBC News Tuesday night.

That is more than four times higher than the $1.9 billion surplus that was projected in the federal budget of last March.

The extra cash likely comes from a variety of sources, including a healthy economy, higher corporate tax receipts and high commodity prices.

7. Well, there's a little more to it than JUST the military budget here
Like, we've got folks who are raiding the Treasury -- for themselves and their wealthy friends. But the military budget is, of course, a part of that, as is the Homeland Defense Budget, NCLB, and probably a lot of other things -- as many as they can think of.

3. Its called living below your means.....
but then we have wars to start and nations
to build (then tear up again, and build again).
We also have a lot of corporations to pamper
and millionaires to support. Nothing like
having a conservative in the WH is there?

But then all the big problems are Gays, Guns,
and God! Keeps the simple people from noticing
their asses are being chewed off by big business.

4. Hey, maybe we can afford a half-dozen more gun registries.
Or some used submarines that won't kill our men.
