Gas Price Up Near $1.88 a Gallon -Survey

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The average U.S. retail price of gasoline rose slightly over the last two weeks to almost $1.88 a gallon -- the first increase reported since late May, according to the nationwide Lundberg survey of about 8,000 gas stations.
But survey editor Trilby Lundberg said prices should resume their slide in coming weeks as increasing oil supplies push fuel prices down

Whats pretty obvious is how much Iraq's oil is so important to US

3. Slightly??
Reporting from Las Vegas, NV:

I have seen the price of regular unleaded go from $1.839 at the cheapest location I saw about 3 weeks ago, to no less than $2.019 today at some of the same stations. Some places are already back to nearly $2.10!

Slightly, my butt. :(

11. Maybe Cheaper in Swing States?
> Please tell me where I can get it that cheaply

in a swing state maybe?

It did seem last time people reported gas prices here
that some of the swing states had lower prices
than the "safe" states, especially safe blue states.

9. I paid 2.59 for the cheap stuff last weekend I would LOVE 1.88 gas
Of course you all realize that this is what it's all about, don;t you??

Gas was $1.50 or under for a LONNNNNG time, and how on earth could they get us to "accept" $2 gas?? Make it WELL OVER $2 for a long period of time, and when it "stabilizes" at $2, we will throw up our arms and say ..."THANK-YOU , JESUS"...and never complain again..:(

I would like to see a scale thing at the gas pumps.. The bigger the vehicle, the higher the per gallon rate on the pump... That would reward those of us who drive economical cars, and make the guzzlers pay extra :)

12. Next you're going to tell us
you're for a graduated income tax as well.

Within a few years, such "socialist" thoughts will get you taken to the internment camp.

13. Camp?? Hey, I was too poor to go to camp when I was a kid..
Camp sounds like fun :)...oh...THAT kind of camp :)

The car size thing really gets me.. We have friends who have not ONE, but TWO Lincoln Navigators, and they also have his and hers PT Cruisers..

It's just the two of them.. their kids are grown..

17. I paid $1.96 for regular
at the cheapest station in my area. This is in So. CT. We have the highest gas tax so our gas is never as cheap as everywhere else. The average price is around $2.05 in my area (for regular).
