MoveOn PAC to Host StarStudded Gala to Launch TV Ads
MoveOn PAC to Host StarStudded Gala to Launch TV Ads Sparking 10 Weeks of Grassroots Activism to Defeat Bush

(US Newswire) MoveOn PAC will host a star-studded, sold out, gala next Tuesday, August 24 called "10 Weeks: Don't Get Mad, Get Even!" to kick-off 10 Weeks of grassroots activism, highlighted by a new TV ad campaign featuring the work of notable American film directors and actors including Matt Damon, Scarlett Johanssen, Kevin Bacon, Woody Harrelson, Al Franken and Rebecca Romijn, Rob Reiner and Richard Linklater.

During each of the next ten weeks, Moveon PAC will announce a new grassroots initiative in its campaign to elect John Kerry. The first activity will be launched with an ad called Register and Vote, written and directed by award-winning hip-hop icon Benny Boom. It will inaugurate Moveon PAC's effort to counter Republican voter suppression efforts like those underway in Florida now.

The 10 Weeks campaign embodies Moveon PAC's continuing effort to combine grassroots activism with celebrity participation in supporting John Kerry's campaign for President.

Entertainment at the event will include musical performances by The Roots, Moby and Perry Farrell, appearances by Al Franken, MoveOn PAC Executive Director Eli Pariser, Kevin Bacon, Richard Linklater and many others. Janeane Garofalo will host.

Ads include: ....

It's pretty simple but I think it works. John was really easy to work with.

I probably won't be doing any more political ads for move on. I really want to get back to playing music and possibly doing music videos. Those are fun.

Check out the low budge video we did for the band Clarity at www.GNN.tv

And glad that you got the actual Martin Sheen instead of a cheap simulation!

Because I'd need to smoke for decades to get anywhere near that gravelly...
