A man who threatened to kill another because of the victim’s ethnicity was indicted by Williamson County’s grand jury this week.
Bradley Valek of 2378 Rocky Fork Road in Nolensville is charged with civil rights intimidation and two counts of assault for his actions over the Independence Day holiday earlier this year.
According to police records, on July 4, Valek confronted Fahad Aljarboe — a man who had lived on Valek’s mother’s property for approximately 20 years — and accused him of being a terrorist. Aljarboe had the owner’s permission to reside on the property and was finishing some carpentry tasks. Unfortunately, Valek was staying at the home temporarily, as well.
“Valek demanded that Mr. Aljarboe leave his residence ... and threatened to kill him,” Officer Paul Rigsby of the Nolensville Police Department wrote in his initial report. “At one point, he grabbed Mr. Aljarboe by the throat and pinned him to a wall.”
