Perhaps the biggest sparks will accompany the documentary Horns and Halos (Oct. 5), about the controversy surrounding the notorious 1999 book about Bush called Fortunate Son.
Author James Hatfield claimed that George W. had been arrested for cocaine possession in the early 1970s, but his well-connected dad had hushed up the bust. The book briefly hit the best-seller lists, but lawyers for the future president threatened a lawsuit. When it was revealed that Hatfield had served five years in prison for attempted murder, St. Martin's Press withdrew the book. .. (read on!!!)
