FTC Antitrust Chief Stepping Down
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Trade Commission's antitrust chief is resigning after two years in the post, the agency said on Thursday. <cut

Simons, who previously served at the FTC during the Reagan administration, became the competition chief in June 2001. Before that, he was a partner in the Washington office of Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells.

Simons' counterpart at the Justice Department, antitrust division chief Charles James, resigned in October last year to take a job at oil giant Chevron Texaco.

3. Revolving door, many worked for mega-corps. before gov't.
Then they go back.

Like the #2 at EPA who had been a Monsanto Legal and just retired

to join some other corp.

4. Work for a member of an oligopoly on the commission

(Sure, dump underpriced products onto the market to bankrupt your compitition. Sure, go ahead and buy out your, now bankrupt, compitition at a bargin price.)

Then get paid extremely well as a direct employee of an oligopoly off the commission.
