Human rights group finds Abu Ghraib cover- up

The Bush administration "circumvented" the Geneva Convention with the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison, the international advocacy group Human Rights Watch said today.

Its 38 page report - The Road to Abu Ghraib - says the Bush administration deliberately allowed illegal interrogation techniques, then covered up or ignored reports of torture and abuse.

"They said the Geneva Convention did not apply to al-Qaeda detainees, Donald Rumsfeld said they didn't have those rights," said Reed Brody, a lawyer for Human Rights Watch.

4. Detainee Torture
When Raygoon mania dies down the Congress will be forced to deal with the Torture issue because it goes to the core of their duty to protect, maintain and adhere to The Constitution of the USA. War Crimes were commited by BushCo and that cannot be swept away so easily.
