Investigators Probe Hoffa Disappearance (Fox News Damages Evidence)
Edited on Sat May-29-04 04:44 PM by shawn703
Investigators are skeptical they'll find much evidence of the 1975 disappearance of Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa after tearing up floor boards in a Detroit house where traces of blood were uncovered by the Fox News Channel.
According to an upcoming book, a now-dead Pennsylvania Teamster official named Frank Sheeran claimed to have shot Hoffa inside the home in 1975. Fox sent experts to the house in March.

In the latest twist, Gorcyca said two retired Michigan state police officers brought in by Fox News tested floor boards in the Detroit home with Luminol, a chemical that illuminates the presence of bloodstains.

The prosecutor in charge of the case did not learn of the investigation or possible new evidence until the TV crew came to interview him about a week ago, Gorcyca said.

"We're disturbed that we weren't the first at the scene and the first to conduct testing at the scene. Every time Luminol is used, DNA is lost," Gorcyca said.

Leave it to the idiots at Fox News to destroy evidence while looking for a story.

1. I also post at a TV Industry board
and some idiot yesterday was beyond thrilled that Fox News had "broken" a story! He used this as proof that Fox could actually report news-not just read it as all us liberal-commies keep complaining. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's a Fox employee. And judging by this story-Faux literally "broke" the story-by possibly destroying evidence and calling in their cameras instead of the FBI. As if we needed any more proof on how big a bunch of losers they truly are!

2. If the people at Faux were actually journalists, then they would know
the difference between journalism and police work.

4. They're just trying to keep up with Geraldo Rivera
Capone's Vault
The OJ Simpson Trial
Desert Storm classified locations

... just a brilliant investigative journalist, that one is.

3. From what a friend said Jimmy Hoffa was
buried at a Pontiac Michigan landfill.

At the time, this guy was in charge of the Pontiac landfill. He pretty much directed what went where.

The morning after Hoffa disappeared he noted some machinery had been moved, and a ravine had been filled in. Knowing the caliber of the people he worked with, he kept his mouth shut until after he left Michigan.
