Fire official says blaze in Oklahoma City threatening homes

(CNN) -- A fire fed by dry conditions and winds was threatening some homes in Oklahoma City Tuesday afternoon, according to city Fire Chief Keith Bryant.

Fire officials asked residents in a 2-square-mile area near NE 50th Street and North Sooner Road to evacuate because of the threat to structures, Bryant said.
