Bolivian leader: Hugo Chavez's health improving
AP – 1 hr 1 min ago

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez appears to have made it through his most difficult moments and is improving after undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, Bolivian leader Evo Morales said Sunday.

Morales, a close ally of Chavez who visited him in Caracas last week, remarked on the Venezuelan leader's health after attending Bolivia's soccer match against Colombia at the Copa America tournament in Argentina.

"He's very well, very well," Morales told Colombian radio station Caracol. "He has told us it was a very difficult situation for him, but he has survived the bad moment, the worst. As always, under the control of his doctors."

Asked if Chavez appeared concerned or calm, Morales told Caracol: "No, calm, very calm. ... Strengthened."

7. He had surgery for a "sinusal tumor" last November. Short article:
Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Brazil informed the U.S. that Evo Morales suffered a sinusal tumor

SINUSAL TUMOR • The Brazilian government announced in 2009 the United States that the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, was suffering a sinusal tumor that caused him to undergo surgery in an operation that the Bolivian authorities attributed to a deviated nasal septum, according to one document leaked by Wikileaks website.

ACHACACHI, Bolivia .— The information got to former U.S. Ambassador Clifford Sobel in Brasilia through the Brazilian defense minister, Nelsom Jobim, after a meeting between Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Evo Morales took place in February.

Jobim said Lula offered to Morales a treatment at a hospital in Sao Paulo and the tumor, never confirmed by La Paz, had taken to the Bolivian president to behave not normally at international summits held during these dates.

Doctors recommended surgery to Morales in October 2008 after suffering constant headaches and otitis. During that period, did not participate in several official events, but Morales postponed the operation until after January 25, 2009, when the constitutional referendum was carried, according to a report of Ambassador Sobel sent to Washington on 22 January of that year.

5. Some of the best doctors in the world I might add.
Do you have a problem with that.
I like Hugo Chavez and think he has done wonders for the people of Venezuela. You can't believe much of what you read coming from our government or our press when it comes to either Morales or Chavez cause they are afraid of both men because they don't tow the American or British line.
