2. Are they included in the Sunday casualties?
If so, that accounts for the info at lunaville, which says 5 soldiers were killed Sunday, April 11 (the three Marines in this story, and the two 1st Cav killed in the Apache shoot-down).

It's so hard to keep it straight, bluestateguy. I don't know. :-(

3. "Enemy action"?
We're liberating these people and calling them the "enemy"?

Yeah, that'll work.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Three U.S. Marines were killed in fighting in western Iraq (news - web sites), the military said Monday in a statement.

The three, members of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, were killed "as a result of enemy action" on Sunday in Anbar province, which stretches from west of Baghdad to the Jordanian and Syrian borders.

The statement did not identify the three and gave no other details.

Including the newly announced deaths, 62 American soldiers have been killed in fighting across the country since April 4, when an uprising by a radical Shiite militia in the south and a Marine offensive on Sunni insurgents in Fallujah began.

At least 664 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq since the war began in March 2003.

5. Are they even giving figures for the wounded now?
If this many are getting killed you just know the figures for those injured must be pretty bad, but I don't hear about them on the news.
