Christians say Islamic extremism on rise in Nigeria

KADUNA, Nigeria, April 6 (Reuters) - Foreign-funded Islamic extremism was behind the burning of nine churches in the northern Nigerian state of Kaduna, a Christian leader said on Tuesday.

Sam Kujiyat, vice chairman of the Kaduna branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said no one was killed in Saturday's attack on the churches in the town of Makarfi -- apparently sparked when a Christian tore up a copy of the Koran.

But Muslims also burned a police car and a house owned by a Christian, Kujiyat said.

"We want to alert both the federal and state government that terrorists, hiding under religion, have invaded Kaduna state," Kujiyat told a press briefing.

4. I am tired of "Christians" desecrating Christ's vision!!!
I am tired of so-called "Christians" USING Christ to make themselves somehow more worthy than the rest of God's children. Jesus never authorized one human imposing his/her will upon another. Jesus never gave anyone the authority to tell others whether or not they will go to heaven or burn in hell. Such acts fail to qualify as Love or Justice or Peace.
