(Tony) Blair cancels 2nd event for memoir
Source: CBC

Former British prime minister Tony Blair has cancelled a second London event to launch his memoir after protesters threatened to picket it.

A party scheduled for Wednesday at Tate Modern, London's most prestigious contemporary art gallery, has been postponed, according to Blair spokesman Matthew Doyle.

Blair's memoir, A Journey, has rocketed to the top of bestseller lists in Britain and is among the top 20 in North America.

But the book has inflamed passions over his controversial decision to join the war in Iraq, for which he offers no apologies.

8. "They shouldn't be able to leave their houses.."
This was a particular on-the-mark comment from one of The Nation writers (sorry, I don't remember the name) last week on K.O.'s show in regard to the new wave of neo-con non-apologists whom lately have been polluting the discourse about Iraq.
It's wonderful to see that people in the U.K. have been taking this idea to heart.

9. War Criminals Tony Blair
and George W. need to get together, form a mutual admiration society and buy all of each other's books, then send them to all of their other war criminal friends. Those folks who helped to 'spin' the war in Iraq will be the only ones on the 'inside' who completely understand all of the lies and falsehoods, why they were needed and how successful they were. They need to include the media who passed along to the rest of us any and all of their schemes and can now tell us how wonderful these men and their books really are. I personally would not pick up a book produced by Blair or Bush let alone read one. I will, however, read a book or books by anyone out there who has a feasible plan to bring either or both of these men to justice.

why is his having such a hard time promoting it? Has it "rocketed" to the top of the best-seller lists via bulk purchasing?

Ex British Prime Minister Tony Blair cancels London book signing after protests in Dublin

BY Tracy Connor
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Tuesday, September 7th 2010, 4:00 AM

Londoners can put their shoes and eggs away - former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has canceled a book signing there.

The announcement came two days after protesters angered by Blair's role in the Iraq war pelted him with missiles at a signing in Dublin.

Blair said he was doing the public a favor by scrapping tomorrow's scheduled event at a shop in central London.

"I don't want the public to be inconvenienced by the inevitable hassle caused by protesters," Blair said.

Possibly the ICC will be kinder to you than these ungrateful protesters.

Too late for more lies and excuses, we caught on long ago. Toodles, a**hole.

18. Poodle love

Give me
Your dirty love
The way your mama
Make that nasty poodle chew

I'll ignore your cheap aroma
And your
little-bo-peep diploma
I'll just put you in a coma
With some dirty love
Some dirty love
That dirty love
That dirty love

THE POODLE BITES!
(Come on, Frenchie)
THE POODLE CHEWS IT!
(Snap it!)
THE POODLE BITES!
(Come on, Frenchie)
THE POODLE CHEWS IT!
(Snap it!)

excerpt- Dirty Love - Frank Zappa

The poodle knows about inconvenience. Inconveniencing the thousands of UK soldiers who died or were wounded, and the thousands of Iraqi civilians caught in the crossfire, and the inconvenience of the terrorist blowback that will result from his disastorous decision to lick Dubya's ass.

22. Color This Guy as BS
The millions upon millions of people marching in the streets had no 'intelligence' and saw through the fabrications and lies.....

He's trying to rewrite history as are many of our brothers and sisters in the Democratic Party.

They were all complicit in the stupidity and belief in might makes right myth.
