MIT-led team designs “green” airplane

In what could revolutionize the aviation industry, a 'green airplane' designed by a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-led research team is likely to use 70 percent less fuel than existing ones while slashing noise and nitrogen oxide emissions.

The design was one of two that the team, led by faculty from the MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AeroAstro), presented to NASA last month as part of a $2.1 million research contract.

If it takes MIT to paint a airplane green then it should require highly advanced space aliens or prince (known got his passion for purple)to make one purple. I know it's a bad geek joke. But I think there is no such a thing as a good geek joke. That's why they're geek jokes.
