(DUPE) One killed in bomb blast in popular Baghdad shopping neighborhood

BAGHDAD (AFP) - An explosion rocked the popular Karrada shopping district in Baghdad killing one person and wounding another, the US military said.

"One Iraqi was killed and another wounded," said US Major John Frisbie.

Witnesses said they saw three wounded in the blast, which occurred at 2:30 pm (1130 GMT).

The target was a perfume shop owned by a relative of Governing Council and Shiite Dawa party member Ibrahim al-Jaffari, said neighboring shop owner Khalid Hamza Abbas.
