NY Times: Gay Republicans to Run Anti-Bush Ad

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A group of gay Republicans who supported President Bush in 2000 will air a television ad opposing a Bush-backed constitutional amendment that would prohibit gays from marrying.

The 30-second spot by the Log Cabin Republicans shows Vice President Dick Cheney at a debate four years ago saying, ``People should be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to enter into.'' The ad begins Thursday in several states.

I had a friend in college that was gay and she was a Bush Sr. supporter. I didn't get it at all. I said much the same thing as you. "Republicans would lock you all away if they could."

I wonder how she feels about the current administration...

alright! In the grand scheme of things,
what exactly is so admirable about their
letter?

To use that KFC analogy, it's like the chickens
writing Col. Sanders saying they're
upset they're being slaughtered, yet they don't have
an overall problem with the colonel killing chickens
and selling them.

Presumably, when push comes to shove in November,
these Log Cabins will be voting for another lousy
four years of Bush.
