BOULDER, Colo. (CBS) ― The police chief in Boulder wants to put the brakes on the "World Naked Bike Ride."

Cyclists plan to ride in the buff as a form of protest during the Saturday's planned ride in Boulder.

Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner said officers will enforce Colorado's indecent exposure laws and responds to complaints, reports CBS station KCNC-TV in Denver.

"I think it's a bit overkill, and we're not really hurting anybody," said Ryan Van Duzer, naked rider.

9. A little off topic, but this reminds me of an incident years ago

when I was teaching 8th graders at a Catholic school. One day in the middle of a lesson there was some snickering in the back of the room. I noticed a boy quickly hide something in his desk. I asked to see what it was, and he went red in the face. He finally produced it. It was a photo of a bunch of shapely young women riding bicycles nude. I think the kid thought he was in for some severe punishment. Meantime I was just trying really hard not to laugh. I think I sternly told him to take it home and not bring it back. That was one relieved kid.

Seriously, isn't this the crack police force that screwed up the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation? You'd think they have more important matters to worry about.
