Pakistan admits India attack link

A senior Pakistani official has admitted for the
first time that last year's attacks in the Indian
city of Mumbai were partly planned in Pakistan.

Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik said that a
number of suspects from the banned Lashkar-e-
Taiba militant group had been held and may be
prosecuted.

On Thursday Mr Malik told a news conference
that legal steps had begun against eight
suspects which could lead to prosecutions.

"Some part of the conspiracy has taken place in
Pakistan. We have lodged an FIR (first information
report) into the case," he told a news conference
in Islamabad.

He said six of the suspects "are now in custody"
while two others remain at large. It is not clear
when the suspects were arrested - Pakistan said
in January that 71 suspects had been detained.
Arrests began in early December.

2. No, the ISI couldn't let them live for that
It'll be a Pakistani show trial and they'll be executed there.

3. It is a good first step
Pakistan needs to do more ... as in dismantling the ISI and other terrorist organizations launched by the ISI.

Pakistan must realize that it is a much smaller country (1/6th in size and 1/300th in GDP) compared to India and get with the program. Competing with India and a pipe-dream of a muslim rule of India like in the 11th and 12th centuries is fruitless. It will never happen.

Pakistan should learn to live on the handouts from the US and China to feed its people. It doesn't need to spend on the military and the nukes.
