GOP chairman 'shocked' that Obama parody sent out
Source: Comcast

WASHINGTON — The chairman of the Republican National Committee said Saturday he was "shocked and appalled" that one of his potential successors had sent committee members a CD this Christmas featuring a 2007 parody song called "Barack the Magic Negro."

In spite of RNC Chairman Robert M. "Mike" Duncan's sharply negative reaction, former Tennessee GOP leader Chip Saltsman said that party leaders should stand up to criticism over distributing a CD with the song. He earlier defended the tune as one of several "lighthearted political parodies" that have aired on Rush Limbaugh's radio show.

Just shutting up about it would have been better for them.

13. The Repukes do what Rush tells them to do. He and Hannity run party strategy.
Which is why the GOP is nothing but a bunch of thug losers at this point. Colin Powell was right recently when he said the GOP needs to disavow Rush, but it isn't going to happen for at least one more national election cycle, when they get hammered again. Maybe it won't happen, and they will be a marginalized, old, all-white party reduced to the Southeast states.

29. The word "Thug" assumes...
At least a modicum of higher brain functions. At this point in time, the repukes are nothing but brain stem activity. They fought that Mary Schiavo action, to no avail, then they assumed her condition.

15. This is typical frat-boy Republican c.r.a.p. Let's push back hard on this.
This is just the beginning.

Lawsuits need to be filed for this and then when the right wing media
starts up on January 21, we need to push back on a daily basis when
Fox News, Rush, et. al. defame Obama.

Lawsuits should darken the skies over these people and there should also
be local and national demonstrations against local and national media that broadcasts
these shows, enabling or creating defamation and lies about Obama.

If we don't use a shock and awe approach, the right wing will once again
set the message, and lead it. This time, things have to be different.

The idea is: make the cost of Obama defamation so extraordinarily high for
the right wing media that it is forced to cease its efforts.

and money defending the rights of members of the LGBT community. I've volunteered, written, marched and donated and still do. And I've been fighting here over the Warren thing since I heard about it. So, all you did was be a total jerk to a white hetero someone who's been supporting the rights of others, including members of the gay community, since the Sixties. ASSume much?
