Googling for more news on the Senator's condition, I found this blurb from a few days ago:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/sneed/1172891,CST-NWS-SNEED19.article

<snip>
Backshot: "He gave every ounce of courage to attend that convention, where an attack of kidney stones caused him to be delivered by ambulance," said a source.

Update: "And although he still goes sailing every day at 2 p.m., he is getting weaker and weaker. He's a very ill man. It's been said he could have three weeks, three months or three years . . . but I wouldn't bet three years."

39. It appear that he is o-kay...
US senator Edward Kennedy, who is being treated for brain cancer, was tonight taken to a hospital near his Cape Cod vacation home after complaining of feeling unwell.

However, the US television network Fox has reported that former presidential candidate and Massachusetts senator John Kerry has spoken to Senator Kennedy, and says that he is due to leave hospital and return to his home within the next hour.

Barnstable police sergeant Ben Baxter says an emergency call from the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port came about 5pm ET on Friday evening.

Baxter said Kennedy has been taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital. He says Kennedy had been "alert and responsive" during the trip.

Representatives of Kennedy and the hospital did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

Kennedy had a seizure in May and underwent surgery in June for a malignant brain tumor. After undergoing six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he has been increasing his public activity.

Senator Kerry said that the Kennedy was looking forward to going home to watch tonight's televised debate between the presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain.

50. Kennedy has returned home. A reaction to a change
in medication is given responsibility for his problems today.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26907644/

I take a lot of medication and I know that when there is something added on, or one of them changed there is always some type of reaction. I am younger and don't have the same illness Senator Kennedy has, so mine reactions are probably not as bad as his would be, and mine are bad enough for me. ;)

Mobile phone use 'raises children's risk of brain cancer fivefold'

Alarming new research from Sweden on the effects of radiation raises fears that today's youngsters face an epidemic of the disease in later life

By Geoffrey Lean, Environment Editor
Sunday, 21 September 2008

Children and teenagers are five times more likely to get brain cancer if they use mobile phones, startling new research indicates.

The study, experts say, raises fears that today's young people may suffer an "epidemic" of the disease in later life. At least nine out of 10 British 16-year-olds have their own handset, as do more than 40 per cent of primary schoolchildren.

Yet investigating dangers to the young has been omitted from a massive £3.1m British investigation of the risks of cancer from using mobile phones, launched this year, even though the official Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research (MTHR) Programme – which is conducting it – admits that the issue is of the "highest priority".

Despite recommendations of an official report that the use of mobiles by children should be "minimised", the Government has done almost nothing to discourage it.

Last week the European Parliament voted by 522 to 16 to urge ministers across Europe to bring in stricter limits for exposure to radiation from mobile and cordless phones, Wi-fi and other devices, partly because children are especially vulnerable to them. They are more at risk because their brains and nervous systems are still developing and because – since their heads are smaller and their skulls are thinner – the radiation penetrates deeper into their brains.

52. You know what was additionally saddening to me?
The first I heard of this was when John McSame mentioned it during the debate. Why the hell didn't Obama have enough class to do so? Ted Kennedy is a legendary Democratic figure, ferchrissake, and I have to learn about this news from a slimesucking Republican?

Ted Kennedy is being so brave about this, though you know he must really be suffering, considering his condition and his age. My prayers are with the Kennedys at this difficult time.
