Associated PressWASHINGTON - Congress announced plans Tuesday to review the use of performance-enhancing drugs, with star-studded hearings scheduled next month and legislation to limit access to steroids and growth hormones.

Granted, this is a serious issue, however with all the other issues needing the focus of this Congress, such as oh I don't know,
Impeachment. I see this as something the MSM can latch onto and distract the public with all the big names, while the American public loses more and more of their freedoms.
I know there are baseball purists who will decry the use of these drugs, with the high level salaries, it was bound to happen. America's been pushed to have higher levels of productivity, from manufacturing, office workers and even sports figures. Most regular folks use coffee and no-doze to increase their productivity, so is caffeine to be banned next?
The issue is this is a side-bar story, at best. MSM will probably play this one up as "the big story of 2007" while Americans lose more with each passing day under this illegal administration.
