Grief Looms Heavily On Home Front
It’s becoming a daily sorrow — two more U.S. soldiers died under fire in Iraq today.

The killing of Saddam's sons has yet to end the killing of America’s sons, reports CBS News Mark Strassmann.

Since May 1, when President Bush declared major hostilities in Iraq were over, 97 U.S. soldiers have been killed — 40 of them by hostile fire.

Grief now lingers in places like Townsend, Massachusetts.

Sergeant Justin Garvey was so gung-ho Army, he flew to the Pentagon to enlist.

He was killed this past Sunday, when a sneak-attack hit his convoy in Northern Iraq.

“They just need to get everyone out of there because today it’s us, you know,” says Kristen Garvey, the soldier’s sister. “Tomorrow it’s going to be someone else’s family that’s suffering.”

Send the Bush girls and GOP/Dem/CEO children to fight in Iraq and let's see how long this illegal murder goes on! Why don't we see any media reports on where the power elite children are spending their summer? Suck you all! TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!

2. Can I second that?
DAMN you, bush.

Actually, I'd rather like to see BUSH go to Iraq with a pop gun and try and set up frontier justice. If he wants war over there so badly, LET HIM GO FIGHT IT! He'd finally rid himself of the title First Chickenhawk.

3. No Exit Strategy!
Edited on Wed Jul-23-03 07:40 PM by Erika
These troops were put over there with no exit or rotation strategy. CBS online didn't even report on yesterday's two deaths and the nine injured. Bush did his big aircraft carrier photo-op and declared victory. Since then he's been hiding from the issue and paying lip-service to our soldiers while challenging our enemies to "bring em on". I could never encourage a young person to join the military while this maniac is still our (gag) president.

4. Garvey's death is so sad
''He was my brother, my best friend,'' his sister, Kristin Garvey, 21, told the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. ''It just doesn't seem real.'' ...

5. Bill Kristoil, Richard Perle, Michael Ledeen, Paul Wolfowitz
.....they have factored in the "sacrifice" of many lower and middle class kids, to get their prize.

Anybody see the story of the neo-cons of AEI, named above, holding a champaign and caviar celebration at the onset of the war ? Maybe someone can link the story. The neo-cons dont give a rats ass about america, its not their blood and treasure.

The last time anyone had a celebration at the start of a war.....hell must of been Adolph and his gang.

8. The NeoCons were in Kuwait City.
They arrived there a week before the war started. There were several pictures of them on the beaches and in the luxury hotels. You think they had advance notice? Duh!!!
