DHS employee put on leave after wearing 'offensive' costume
Source: CNN Website

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The employee who wore what some said was a racially insensitive Halloween costume to a party hosted by a top immigration official is being directed by the Homeland Security Department Secretary to take administrative leave.

The employee's leave will continue while a Department inquiry is conducted, according to Secretary Michael Chertoff.

The employee wore a striped prison outfit, dreadlocks and darkened skin make-up to the party hosted by Julie Myers, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Myers was on a three-judge panel that originally praised the prisoner costume for "originality."

1. The picture CNN posted of her says she found the costume offensive
I love how they try and make her seem sensitive to the issue when in reality she only found it offensive when the world knew.

3. The employee put on leave for wearing insensitive Halloween costume...
Will the three judge panel who awarded first prize for "originality" rescind their award? :evilfrown:

4. Yeah, I can't decide what's worse--the idiocy of the employee for wearing such a costume,
or the idiocy of the people who awarded it a prize. So much GOP idiocy to choose from these days.
