George Clooney Honoured By French Government
Source: Yahoo

American actor George Clooney thanked France for its efforts in the Darfur crisis Sunday as he accepted a prestigious government award marking his achievements in cinema.

Clooney was presented with the "Chevalier des Arts et Lettres" medal by French Culture Minister Christine Albanel on the fringes of the American Film Festival in Deauville, France.

Albanel hailed Clooney as the "quintessence of an American actor," noting his "limitless talent" and "irresistible charm."

Born on May 6, 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky, Clooney came onto the scene in 1994 in the role of Dr. Doug Ross in the television series "ER".

1. Monsieur Clooney, je t'aime.

on edit, misspelled t'aime

and, the aricle has one thing wrong, he started on Silver Spoons (!) and then to Roseanne, before ER.

And,

That's wonderful that his work both in film and for humankind is receiving such richly deserved recognition.

I only t'aime him in a platonic way.

there was: e/r (1984) where George Clooney played Ace, the nephew of a nurse played by Conchata Ferrell.

4. Oops, I had my info wrong. This man should be an ambassador in a Dem administration.
Thanks for the reference. I get all the homogenous, heavily laugh tracked sitcoms of the eighties confused.

5. Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005)
I just flipped for that film. I love the 1940s for style and I could tell the filmmakers were having fun with that one.
