Goodwill will be answered with Goodwill (Iran)
A senior Iranian official said on Thursday Washington's decision to ease some sanctions on Tehran to speed humanitarian relief to quake victims was a goodwill gesture which Iran would respond to in kind.

"In parliament right now we are evaluating the American government's positive behaviour and I'm sure that goodwill will be answered with goodwill," said Mohammad Reza Khatami, deputy parliament speaker and brother of President Mohammad Khatami.

He did not specify what reciprocal measures Iran might take.

Washington announced a 90-day measure to let U.S. citizens and non-profit groups donate money directly to non-governmental organisations working in Iran on relief for victims of the December 26 Bam quake which killed at least 30,000 people.

1. Bush* Administration take note: This is how to win international
cooperation and truly influence people of the world (including in our own country). Humanitarian gestures of goodwill and concern for the suffering, sick, elderly, injured, and the poor will gain you more friends and influence than any bombing raid ever will.

But not according to Richard Perle and his gang of neo-con nazi thugs. This just demonstrates how dangerous and sick men like Richard Perle are, and how truly out of touch with reality they are.

2. Yeah.
Iran's stating that "the Zionist Regime" cannot send aid even though Israel has expert earthquake recovery teams was a real humanitarian gesture to those suffering in Bam.

5. Yes, Israeli non-governmental groups offered
Iran specifically refused Israeli help.

Iran is not the wonderful place that they claim.

7. Globe and Mail says that some Israeli NGOs are there anyway ...
They may have come in as a mixed group with other international teams, or maybe it was only official Israeli government assistance that was refused.
