Richardson: Total Iraq force withdrawal
Source: AP

WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential hopeful Bill Richardson said Sunday he wanted a total withdrawal of U.S. forces in Iraq and that American troops are targets in a civil war.

"I would leave no troops in Iraq whatsoever," Richardson said. "The difference between me and the other candidates is, they would leave troops there indefinitely, and I would not."

He said a U.S. withdrawal should be used as leverage to promote a reconciliation conference of sectarian groups, an all-Muslim peacekeeping force and a donor conference to rebuild Iraq.

Richardson says U.S. troops should be redeployed by the end of the year to Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf. Other Democratic presidential candidates also advocate troop withdrawals but leave room for residual forces.

1. Bill Richardson was absolutely great on Blitzer this a.m.
Articulate, detailed, direct answers to direct questions, specific explanations as to how and why his plan for the Mid East and Iraq and Iran in particular will work, met other issue questions, Immigration in particular, head on, steady, comfortable, solid eye contact, no flinching . . . .

His qualifications are sterling, but you don't even need them to decide; this IS our best candidate.

Now that I'm re-employed, I'm sending money as soon as possible.

3. I'm trying hard not to hate Media, but this is only one example
of the Grave Threat To National Security (Treason) that they create.

"Best Man for the Job" be Damned, Ratings are more important to the United States than an HONEST and competent candidate.

So where do we stand on bringing the Fairness Policy back?

5. If The MSM Were Really Driven By Ratings, It Couldn't Be THIS Bad
If the MSM were really driven by ratings, surely they could have gotten great ratings
from extensive reporting of some of the recent Repiglican scandals. They'e had
everything: spies, sex, money, the Watergate(!!). What more could an investiagative
reporter ask for? Instead scandal after scandal has gotten a big yawn from
the MSM because they say we wouldn't be interested. Yet they thought we were
interested in the stains on Monica's dress for months at a time.

The MSM is the Mighty Slime Machine, wholely owned by the Repiglicans.
They are motivated not by money, but by the desire to promote policies
beneficial to the networks' parent corporations. NBC is owned by GE.
Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has just purchased control of Clear Channel.

If the Repiglican media takes any positive notice of a Democratic candidate at all, it is
only because they believe (s)he would be the easier to defeat in the general election.

If they single out a "second-tier" candidate for trashing, it is because they are afraid
of that candidate.

6. You know what?
You're right; it's NOT just about ratings. As you point out, there are all kinds of ways they COULD pump the ratings, from those, why DO they choose the things they do? MSM is THE essential tool of the oppressors.

4. Smart move.
Very attention-getting. That's what he needed to do to distinguish himself from the rest. Got my attention.
