India, China, Russia call for fairer world order
By Alistair Scrutton

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - The foreign ministers of India, China and Russia called on Wednesday for a more balanced world order, while insisting their day-long summit was not ganging up on any superpower, such as the United States.

India's Pranab Mukherjee, Russia's Sergei Lavrov and China's Li Zhaoxing discussed economic ties at a time when the Asian giants are seeking more energy supplies and Moscow sits on huge oil and gas reserves.

"They expressed their conviction that democratic democratizationation of international relations is the key to building an increasingly multi-polar world order," the summit's joint communiqué said.

But the communiqué emphasized that "trilateral cooperation was not directed against the interests of any other country".

Few concrete economic deals came from a summit aimed at smoothing the path for future trade agreements.

Looks like Poppy's dream of a "new world order" is fading fast. Tombstoned by his own SPOILED BRAT SON!

1. What we should do is get rid of expanding states
But fat chance of that happening. We all remember what happened the last time there was more than one power in the world, correct? Plenty of people died. What happened when there were more than two? Even more people died. What happens when there is just one? Plenty of people die. But hey, without that kind of progress and growth, America wouldn't even exist, so it has to be good.

10. These half brains believe that if we trade with a country that it will
become "democratic." Duh, capitalism does not equal democracy. Red China is a totalitarian capitalistic state. How dumb was Nixon and how dumb was Regan, Bush I and Clinton....all bought off by the corps and will to sell those not of the "priviledged" class to poverty.

2. Your comment is right on.

I mean who would have thought GW would be responsible for the death of the Monroe Doctrine?

I tried to explain that to a couple of friends and all I got was blank stares.

5. Um...
Just what bigger piece of the pie do you think roughly 2.6 billion people should get?

Unless your itching to kill them all, I suggest you play nicely so that the Chinese might continue to issue you credit, so you can prepare for the day that you will be learning 'other' languages and dialects to work in the call centers of Indian companies.

6. maybe if China would allow their currency to float without restrictions
then maybe their own "slave laborers" will demand to unionize and end this "level playing field" talk.

7. LOL...
Those Chinese and Russians could sure use ANOTHER revolution all right.

The last ones were no good to us either.

Looks like they are sliding off of Freedom Road and slipping back into dictatorship...again

8. I was hoping that this was sarcasm, but...
After reading your quote of bush, I guess you really have drunk the cool aid.

A few thoughts...

"Those Chinese and Russians could sure use ANOTHER revolution all right."

Yeah, revolutions are a very good way of decreasing population. If we're lucky, maybe even ours!

"The last ones were no good to us either."

Right. It would have been so much better if the cold war were still going. Think of all the really cool nuclear weapons that would have been built. Of course, if the cold war were still going on, we probably wouldn't have this really great war in Iraq. So there would be a down side.

"Looks like they are sliding off of Freedom Road and slipping back into dictatorship...again"

Absolutely! The Chinese military has remained about 60 percent of the size of our military (in numbers of soldiers) while their military budget is enormous! (ly small compared to our) This despite the fact that they only have about four times as many people. They must be stopped.

And India? Don't get me started... how dare they elect all those Prime Ministers over the last 60 years. Just who in the hell do they think they are? The worlds biggest democracy or something?

Fortunately, W looked into Putin's soul, so no worries there.

"All I know is that Jesus Loves Me and America is the Supermarket to the World..."

Jesus was telling me just the other day how much he'd like to see you face to face, ASAP. Get'r done, boy or you might end up in Hell. The boss wants to see you now... not that praying crap either... but live (well, not "alive" exactly) and in person.

being sarcastic and leave you with the a good old school thought;

'You can't fight trends, only movements'.

BTW...Factoid: The PLA (Chinese Army) is the world's largest employer as well...!!

now...about that 332 tons of US currency that went missing...amazing.

12. Ask the corporate executives. Bush is just a figurehead for them.
The leaders of those 3 countries ought to remember that executive-quality fact.

Oops.
