Mistake prompts Bush redo

<snip>

President Bush has just gotten done talking about Iraq, and meant to comment on immigration -- but instead, mistakenly started on another topic.

The president began a statement to reporters outside Air Force One by saying he was pleased Republicans and Democrats were working together to get a bipartisan, comprehensive "energy" bill.

He realized his mistake, stopped talking and said, "Let me start over."

The president nailed it the second time around, saying he was pleased lawmakers are working together on an "immigration bill."

8. What a putz!
Why aren't more Americans totally ashamed of this ignorant cretin representing us? Seeing Americans willing to accept this behavior as a representation of our country makes me physically ill. WE CAN DO BETTER! MUCH BETTER! The village idiot is our president!

Maybe it's time for Stupidhead to start having folks with placards stand in front of him for what he should say. So difficult for Chimpy to hold onto more than one thought at a time.

20. Which Ronald Reagan are you referring to?
The one I observed couldn't talk AT ALL without a script. He was a doddering, stammering idiot when confronted with a question where he didn't have some lines ready for delivery.

His advantage over lil' Georgie? Reagan knew how to memorize his lines.

:puke:

21. Speech Mistake Prompts Bush Do-Over
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Cameras were rolling. Microphones were on.
President Bush stepped up to comment on a Senate compromise on immigration legislation.

Wait. Was it energy or immigration?

Maybe Bush had rising gas prices on his mind when he said he was pleased that Republicans and Democrats were working together to get a bipartisan, comprehensive "energy" bill.

Realizing his mistake, he stopped and called for a Take 2.

"Let me start over," Bush said, standing next to Air Force One.
