US Senate urges Govt to join global warming talks
Nearly a quarter of the United States Senate has written to President George W Bush urging him to join talks on long-term steps to combat global warming.

The letter has been signed by 24 Senators including Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party, and a leading Republican John McCain.

It calls on the Bush Administration to play a constructive role in talks about future global action to combat climate change. Senator Jeff Bingaman explained their concerns. "We are to be providing leadership, we're responsible for 25 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions," he said.

"We're the largest economy in the world, we should be stepping up and trying to play a very significant role in whatever agreements are designed for the period following Kyoto."

1. Unfortunately it will fall on deaf and dumb ears.
* the whore can't mess up his polluting industry donors.

I'm sure they will reduce their emissions by 75% voluntarily, which is what the idiot says. Voluntarily is the way to go!
