Australian experts sent to US disaster zone
Three Australians will today leave for New Orleans, where they will be assessing the best way to help the United States with recovery efforts.

Attorney-General Philip Ruddock says the Emergency Management Australia (EMA) team will work with US authorities to determine what expertise is needed and how the Government can provide further assistance.

"We have areas where our work with public health, and with disaster victim identification, are very developed," he said.

The director general of EMA David Templeman says up to 20 Australians may eventually travel to New Orleans.

1. Maybe that will help...they probably have people in their gov. that
know something about their job...not ceo's of a corporations.
