Sudan's VP Garang 'landed safely'
The plane carrying Sudan's First Vice-President John Garang has landed safely at a military base in the country's south, state TV has said.

2. No. He's a former rebel commander.

He is pro-national unity. If he is lost,
peace`efforts may unravel.

Last I heard, there is no independent
confirmation that he is safe yet.
