8. Wasn't Clinton's approval rating 76% while he was being impeached?
Meanwhile, for someone whose war has a "mandate," they can't reach their recruitment goals.

Funny.

Al Queda isn't having any trouble meeting their recruitment goals.

23. Only 51% approval on the handle terrorism issue
5. When it comes to handling foreign policy issues and the war on terrorism, do you approve or disapprove or have mixed feelings about the way George W. Bush is handling that issue?

_Approve, 51 percent (45)

_Disapprove, 48 percent (52)

_Mixed feelings, 2 percent (1)

_Not sure, percent (2)

You take away that issue and he would be in the 30's, and his numbers there are slipping.

How low can it go? I have to think that at best 36% of the people are utterly brainwashed and will never, ever disapprove of him. It's insane, but true. That means he's only 6% above the sheeple rating.

We HAVE to take advantage of this in 2006 and get the House back. Please, please, let's get the House back!!!!!!!

45. It shows you how weak a candidate Kerry really
was....

I mean, Kerry never gave the middle any real reason to abandon the president....

People are still in awe of a sitting president......

People out there in the great beyond, beyond DU and other activists sites, just don't get into politics as much as we do......

Reagan beat Carter because of the Hostages but also because he provided a well presented choice....

I'm sorry, unless you were one of us who knows from issues, Kerry didn't present a compelling enough arguement to change......

I hate to say this but I agree with Cheney. Somehow at election time, the voters forget everything and vote basded on party line or racism.Otherwise Bush wouldn't have been re-elected. There were numerous reasons ,both grave and not so grave, voters should have thrown the bums out in Nov.2004 and they didn't!

The repuke secs of state all did a fantastic job at counting - every single one of them!

THIS should be added to "nationalizing" the next elections.

59. they're just going to kill more of us for propaganda
A few nukes to thin out his own herds (bet money on blue cities in mostly-red states), followed by enough propaganda to build up a pretext for an invasion of Venezuela, Iran, and maybe Tajikistan or Belarus (the Afghan pipeline has to go somewhere).

Also, consider offshoring of manufacturing in the context of military production vs. attacks on the continental US.
