Jordan Islamists against Chalabi amnesty
Interesting that this comes from the moonie times..

http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/20050529-053234-3667r.htm

Ali Abu Sukkar, a member of the Islamic Action Front in Parliament, told UPI: "Islamic legislators will vote against any amnesty that includes big political and economic cases, including Chalabi's."

Jordan's State Security Court in 1992 sentenced Chalabi in absentia to 22 years in prison after it convicted him of embezzling more than $200 million while he chaired the now-dissolved local Petra Bank.

The threat by the IAF, with 17 members in the 110-seat Parliament, came as the Jordanian government is trying to find a solution to Chalabi's case after he assumed a high government position in Baghdad.

1. Very good
Because it sounded like clearing his name and getting rid off that conviction was the first thing on Mr. Chalabi's agenda. They shouldn't let him get away with $200M embezzlement.
