Tokyo nervous about Beijing rally
Japan has warned its nationals to stay away from a major anti-Japanese rally planned in Beijing today as tension rises between the Asian neighbors.

"According to Internet information here ... 10,000-20,000 people will rally against Japan and Japanese products" in Zhongguancun, the high-tech neighborhood of Beijing, the Japanese embassy in China said.

"Please behave cautiously and stay away from anti-Japanese rallies or protests if you witness one," the embassy said, while urging Japanese nationals to be "careful not to be involved in unnecessary trouble."

The Communist Chinese are a REAL threat to the USA and the world. Now, no one will believe the USA because of aWol Bush's, Cheney's... immoral unjust slaugter in Iraq. As it progressives and the dirty red bastard communist Chinese have set in motion their plan to take over the world, it will be called "Crying Wolf", no matter who's in power in the USA at the time. But then heck, why shouldn't the Chinese do it, the NeoCon Americans are.

1. The Communist Chinese are planning to take over the world???
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Will China be a HUGE economic superpower? Of course. Will they be a HUGE military power? Probably.

Are they going to mimic Japan in the 1930s and start taking over everything in the Pacific?

I seriously doubt it. There's no evidence in the CCP's history that suggests that their goal is to take over the world.

The Communists in China are dying. The country will be democratic within the next 20 years.

2. If power corrupts and absolute power
corrupts absolutely, how does this not apply, regardless of whether China is Communist? Even when China has turned inwardly it seems that the objective was to have more control of it's affairs. With it's burgeoning economic power, I think it will wield that power to serve it's own interests. I do agree that the days of Chinese carrier taskforces roaming the Pacific seem very remote if at all possible.

3. It does apply....
China will have tremendous power and the country will likely be corrupted by it. But I doubt that they will be hell-bent on going on an imperial conquest and taking over the world. I forsee their foreign policy to be similar to that of the US as a super power. They will yield their military might insofar as its in their absolute best interst to do so.

5. You just indicated that Nuclear War is certain
And that life on Earth probably has very little future when you say "I forsee their foreign policy to be similar to that of the US as a super power."

On the other hand, you don't seem to know anything whatsoever about culture or psychology, so there are possibilities you have not realized.

Which are the only ones which could still grant us all survival. Find a different groove, and free your mind.

6. China is already corrupt as hell

I've heard lots of horror stories from people who do business there. Bribes have to given out all the way up the chain of command, from the lowly mayor (and his brother) to the fat cats in the Forbidden City. Gotta keep those palms greased. And if you have a dedicated phone line for international calls, expect the locals to tap into it and stick you with a bill for thousands of dollars extra a month.
