UC service employees set strike date (Santa Cruz)
By JONDI GUMZ
Sentinel staff writer

SANTA CRUZ — To spur a contract settlement, workers who serve food, drive buses and clean bathrooms at UC campuses, including Santa Cruz, plan a one-day strike April 14. <snip>

Posadas is on the executive board of American Federation of State County and Municipal Workers Local 3299, which represents 7,300 campus workers including 550 at UCSC.

He said members of the Coalition of University Employees, which represents 600 clerical workers at UCSC, will strike at UCSC, too. <snip>

He said the UC Student Association passed a resolution Sunday criticizing the university’s stance. <snip>
