http://icasualties.org/oif/default.aspx

LONDON, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) will accept liability for the death of the first British soldier to die in action in Iraq, his widow's lawyer confirmed Monday.

Tank commander Sergeant Steven Roberts, 33, died in Iraq almost two years ago after he was ordered to hand over life-saving body armour.

His widow Samantha, 34, has fought a lengthy campaign to find the truth about her husband's death near Basra on March 24, 2003.

Today Mrs Roberts' lawyer Miss Geraldine McCool confirmed the MoD has decided to admit liability in the case.
