154. Thanks - TIP Look for ALEC and State Level Think Tank Co-authoring (MI Mackinac Center)...
... of Reports, Presentations, Agendas, Meetings, etc.

That is a good solid way to show **direct relationships to the State Level (Heritage) Think Tanks** in your state. Have done that for Michigan, very useful. ALSO leads you to State Legislators and State Level candidates and officials.

AND if you are working an issue ALEC infestation - in our case the budget fight - track the ALEC director(s) (there are 'private sector' and 'public sector' and actual 'legislators') for a target issue or "task force".

On budget and taxes the guy is **Jonathan Williams**, director of the Tax and Fiscal Policy Task Force for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Little bugger is from MICHIGAN too, Northwood grad.

See him on Glenn Beck (May 2009) talking about States:

See him on The News Hour (Feb 18, 2011) being the Red Team on Union Rights:

If you follow these Directors, that will lead you to their visits to your state or talks on your topic (and there ALWAYS is one, trust me).
