And Obama cannot appreciate the Anglo Saxon way. (Hmmm. I can't imagine why Romney's advisor assumes his boss understands Anglo Saxons and also assumes Obama does not. Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?)

You cannot make up this stuff. You just can't.

Obama's has Anglo Saxon ancestry, too, not that his ancestors (or Romney's) who arrived in the U.S. a few hundred years ago give him any special foreign policy abilities.

Both Obama and Romney are distantly related to Dummya. Does that mean that they both have special abilities to understand the Bush crime family?

You would think that someone who works for Romney would have read about Obama's geneaology, which made news during the last Presidential campaign. Oh, and also not to be so racist and so utterly clueless as to make public just how racist he is.

Romney needs to fire him. If not, there should be no peace for Romney from the media and the public. None.

Romney disavows adviser's 'Anglo-Saxon' remark

Mitt Romney distanced himself today from an unnamed adviser's comments that President Obama doesn't appreciate "Anglo-Saxon heritage" and the "special relationship" between the United States and Great Britain.

The quotes in the Daily Telegraph threatened to overshadow the likely GOP presidential nominee's arrival in London for meetings with British Prime Minister David Cameron tomorrow and the opening ceremonies of the Olympics on Friday.

"I don't agree with whoever that adviser is," Romney said in an interview with NBC News that aired this evening. "But I can tell you that we have a very special relationship between the United States and Great Britain. ... I also believe the president understands that."

Vice President Biden criticized the Romney adviser's comments and charged the Romney campaign with "playing politics" and "attempting to create daylight between the United States and the United Kingdom where none exists."

Not to mention the genetic determinism ala Jensen and that European guy and the general racism inherent in the remark. But, sure, going with creating daylight where none exists is good, too.

I do not agree that all criticism of Obama is racism based. In fact, I find the knee jerk cries of racism a tad racist themselves, not to mention cringeworthy. (If all else fails, it's racism of too high expectation--or racism of too low expectations. Commentators have done both.)

However, when a comment is this blatantly racist, someone needs to come out and say it. I understand why Obama and Biden might not want to, but surrogates should. (Isn't that why God made people like Lawrence O'Donnell?)
