17. Anyone Who Believes People Are Rich Because They Work Hard............
............are probably too stupid to find their way home at night.

I usually respond to these pricks and their simplistic, "Hard Work = Rich" bullshit in one of two ways:

1. Talk to a farmer. Nobody works harder than the American farmer. See if you can find a rich one.

2. Two words: Paris Hilton.

I bet he thinks that if slaves worked extra hard in the cotton fields, they were granted their freedom to become plantation owners too. NO!!! They WEREN'T!!! And do you know why? Because when the SLAVE OWNERS found a slave who was dumb enough to work HARDER than the rest of the people for the SAME AMOUNT OF PAY (i.e. nothing), they EXPLOITED that asset for all it was worth. They didn't set it free. If anything, they put HEAVIER chains on that slave because he/she was more valuable to THEIR bottom line.

These days, Mr. Jenkins got his Rolls Royce by exploiting the people dumb enough to break their backs for HIS bottom line. He's not going to allow such valuable (and dumb) assets to get out of the salt mines and into the cushy offices. Who's going to mine the salt if you allow the hard workers to move up?
