First, Bill Maher got canceled for the same reason Glenn Beck, another highly-rated TV personality, got canceled: they said stuff that pissed off a lot of people, who in turn wrote to the shows' sponsors and got them to pull their ads. No ads meant no revenue meant bye-bye show. I take it you didn't have any problem with the Beck boycott and firing, so the same logic applies to Maher. "TV personality" is not a tenured position guaranteed to a person by the First Amendment.

Second, Maher got fired because of something he said. Cenk, on the other hand, quit after his low-rated show got moved to a less prestigious timeslot.

Third, Cenk ain't even in the same ballpark as people like Maher and Beck. Those two are both talented, well-known entertainers whereas Cenk is an unknown Youtube personality with teleprompter issues. A guy can't claim to be a victim of a fascist conspiracy to silence him when there is no one listening to him in the first place.
