It's my experience that "statistics" involving suspiciously round percentages are well, suspicious.

I don't recall posting any statistics. I did post some general information about how car seats work, and I did some back of the envelope math about how long a typical family would need a car seat to last. So unless some general figures about what a car seat or a crib costs qualify (and those are easy enough to doublecheck through the magic of The Google) all that needs verified is what I said about how car seats work.
