I've had to deal with this almost every year along with the usual scapegoats from people giving cover to the real culprits.

All kinds of people cause these fires, homeless, hunters, smokers, campers and yes I'm sure some are started by undocumented immigrants. But by far the biggest problem seems to be weekend warriors who think they're Danial Boone and it's just not a camping trip if they don't have a fire you can see from space.

The real cause of these big out of control fires is decades of fire suppression, logging out old growth trees, over grazing, mismanagement, and a drier, hotter climate (talk about anything but those).

And I think we need to bring back the public service ads that showed you how to correctly extinguish a camp fire.
