all the Social Security taxes the baby boomers and current seniors paid into the Social Security trust fund (on top of the amounts paid out to the then retirees) into tax revenue for the general fund.

It is a means of imposing a retroactive very, very, very regressive tax on generations of older Americans.

Yet another crime.

I am trying to explain this to people on DU because it appears to me that people have not understood that the whole anti-Social Security deal is about imposing that regressive tax on the middle class and poor -- retroactively. I would like to see Rachel Maddow or Dylan Ratigan explain this on their show. I think I am right. And this would be easy to demonstrate with visual graphs -- or even glasses full of colored liquid.
